PUERTA VALLARTA: FAMILY AND FRIENDS
This past March two parties of family and friends decided to vacation in Puerta Vallarta the same week. We drove down for the
last week in the month to visit my grand niece Cassie, grand nephew Jake and their mother Wendy. In addition, regular March
visitors and old Philadelphia friends, Bob and Marty, showed up again for a couple of weeks of sun and fun. We stayed with
our friend Jenny in her beautiful apartment overlooking the old city in the Romantic area of the city.
On Monday we drove down the coast near Mismaloya to visit Bob and Marty in their rented condo. Their fourth floor view up the coast
to the city was great. This year Marty had painted the view for the condo's owner.
Friends Beth, Diana and Kurt joined them again this year. And Bob and
On Tuesday Wendy, Cassie and Jake came down to Los Muertos Beach area and we toured the old city, having lunch at Oscar's
at the mouth of Cual River.
After lunch we walked the newly constructed Malecon to "Old Town" and inspected many of the new statues along the way.
After a detour into the old town to check out a few galleries, we made our way back to the boat slip where the family was to
take a water taxi back to Nueva Vallarta. We waited for their taxi at C and C's bar and enjoyed another drink. Robin looks
like he was drinking all day (he wasn't.)
On Wednesday, we met an old Ajijic friend who now lives in Puerta Vallarta, Marsha. Marsha treated us to a trip to the new
Vallarta Botanical Gardens south down the coast.

After lunch we stopped by Marsha's apartment on the ocean front.
That night, our last evening in town, we ate at La Lorraine Restaurant with Jenny, Marsha and old friends, Bob and Carolyn.
