West Coast Lasagne

This was one of my mother's recipes. It's easy to make and your guests will love it.

1 8-ounce package lasgne noodles
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/4 teaspoon prepared garlic puree
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 8-ounce cans tomato sauce
Dash of sugar
1 medium onion, sauted
2 cans small tomato puree
1 3-ounce package of cream cheese
4 tablespoons cottage cheese
1 cup sour cream
6 green onions and tops, chopped
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

Cook noodles in boiling salted water until tender and then drain. Brown ground beef and saute onions. Stir in garlic and salt. Add tomato sauce, tomato puree, sugar and simmer over low heat while noodles cook. Mix together the sour cream, cream cheese, cottage cheese and green onions and tops. Alternate layers of nooles, meat sauce and cream cheese mixture. Bake in oven at 350 degree F. for 20 minutes.
