FRENCH DINNER PARTY

April 9, 2005

[Auction winner guests] [French Dinner Table Setting] [Dinner Hosts]

Doreen Chaloner and I offered a French Dinner as an Auction item at a fundraiser for Programa Niños pro Incapacitados last January. We prepared a eight course meal and served two wines, port and Calvados during the event, held at our home on April 9, 2005. Eight guests split the cost of the dinner raising $6200 pesos for the Niños and all showed up wearing elegant formal wear. The guests from the left included Wen and Donna Carnall, Sky Spence, Barbara Clippinger, Kay Walker, Hazel and Ray Tash, and Bill Walker. Assisting Doreen and I were her husband Don and Robin, both dressed as French waiters, complete with painted on mustaches.

We printed out an elegant Diner Francaise Menu for each table setting. We rolled it up, tied it with a red ribbon, and placed it on each napkin. Check below for Doreen and my recipes for all the courses listed.
